COVID-19 Vaccine

Do You Have The Vaccine?

The state has limited supplies of the COVID-19 approved vaccines. This means that phase 1A which started on Dec. 14, and is limited to Direct Care - Hospitals, Long-Term Care, EMS 9-1-1, Home Health, Outpatient, ER/Urgent Care, Pharmacies, First Responders, School Nurses, and Long-Term Care - Residents is still underway and will continue well into the first quarter of 2021.

Where we stand as of 12/30/2020:

- 42,100 doses distributed in Tarrant county for 1A, only 8,478 are administered or roughly 20% of the doses.

- For the 1A population in Tarrant County, there are 117,603 individuals identified as Healthcare Workers with an additional 18,366 long-term care residents. This is just 6% of the available 1A group vaccinated.

- Phase 1B was opened recently adding 246,738 individuals over the age of 65.

As more vaccine is supplied to the state, the state is allocating resources as expeditiously as possible to all Texas counties.

Please be patient, continue to follow CDC guidelines while in public places, and practice good hygiene to limit your risks.
