Medicare Open Enrollment
Turning 65 years old and signing up for Medicare? For many, open enrollment can be confusing and frustrating. But you can count on us to help you through open enrollment, especially when you're trying to choose a plan.
Medicare Beneficiaries residing in a private residence, Independent Living Facility, Retirement Community, or an Assisted Living Facility are limited to enrolling or changing a Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan or Medicare Advantage Drug Plan during the Medicare Open Enrollment Period.
Medicare Beneficiaries who are dually eligible for Medicaid and those who have been residing in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care Facility for a period of more than 30 days are entitled to a Continuous Open Enrollment Period. They may change plans at any time with coverage to begin on the 1st of the following month.
For other enrollment exceptions or questions on your eligibility to enroll, you may contact Medicare by calling 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).
